The homeowners wanted to upgrade their small 1.5-story home while preserving its ideal location. Key goals included reorienting the home’s entry, creating a spacious kitchen for baking and entertaining, and adding a garage suited for modern vehicles. They sought a design that blended St. Paul’s traditional style with bold, industrial elements.

The renovation converted the attached garage into a large eat-in kitchen and relocated the entry to a new foyer. A full second story was added, featuring a primary suite, guest bath, and two additional bedrooms, creating a home they could grow into. A new detached garage was positioned to enhance the entry approach, while the sloped site was thoughtfully integrated with a rain garden and entry bridge for both function and aesthetics.
